About ASO

The Asian School of Oncology (ASO) was established by Louis Chow (周永昌) from Hong Kong and Masakazu Toi from Japan due to an unmet need for a unified educational platform for young investigators and clinicians. This is despite the fact that there will be 29.5 million new cancer cases in 2040 based on the prediction by the World Health Organization.

Our Mission Statement

ASO is committed to raise the standard of education and training across cancer care continuum.

Utilizing innovative, technology-mediated initiatives, we aim to stimulate the growth of knowledge and foster collaboration among healthcare professionals in the field of oncology.

Our Initiatives

ASO is taking its initial firm steps by organizing the 2020 ASO Breast Cancer Academy.

This initiative will serve as a platform for young investigators and clinicians to present their breast cancer research, obtain insights from senior panel members, and discuss on controversial breast cancer clinical case vignettes. We look forward to expanding our network and forming partnerships with forward-thinking medical schools, research organizations, and clinical institutes.
